David Freeman
Gaming since 1994, building PCs since 2000. Enough hardware has passed through my hands that I stopped counting, but it taught me the useful part: marketing makes promises, benchmarks count frames.Genre means nothing to me, and that is not because I will play anything. It is the opposite. I have one test and it is unforgiving: made with care, or thrown together. Baldur's Gate 3, The Last of Us, The Witcher, Cyberpunk and Titanfall are five different genres with one thing in common, people who gave a damn worked on them. Everything else drops out fast, and neither the budget nor the volume of the marketing saves it.At FramesGames I work out what a frame costs and check whether what the manufacturer promised survives contact with a real computer.
