FramesGames is a small independent site about PC hardware and games. It exists because most of what is written about new hardware and new games is either a press release retold in other words, or a number pulled from a screenshot nobody checked.
Who writes this
One person. David Freeman is a pen name, and behind it there is no newsroom and no industry veteran with twenty years of credentials. There is someone who builds PCs, plays a lot, reads the primary sources, and writes the article he wanted to find himself.
How the numbers get here
Specifications come from the manufacturer, not from a repost. Performance figures come only from tests with a published method, from outlets such as TechPowerUp, ComputerBase, PC Games Hardware, GamersNexus, TechSpot and Tom's Hardware. Charts on this site are drawn by us from those numbers, and the source is printed on the image itself, so you can check it without leaving the page.
If something is a rumour, the article says it is a rumour and names who reported it. If a claim cannot be checked, it does not get published.
Money
Right now this site earns nothing. There are no affiliate links and no paid placements. When that changes, every affiliate link and every sponsored material will be marked as such in the article itself, not in a line of small print at the bottom.
Mistakes
We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, the article gets corrected and the correction is stated in the text, not quietly edited away. If you have found an error, write to [email protected] and it will be fixed.
Languages
Every material is published in English, Russian and Dutch. The translations are not automatic: numbers, names and sources are checked in each version.
