Every Dead by Daylight killer in August 2026: full list with dates, powers and maps

As of 25 August 2026 Dead by Daylight has forty three killers, and the forty fourth arrives today. Below are all of them in one list: who they actually are, what the power is called, which chapter they came from, when they launched and whether they brought a map with them.

And straight to the unpleasant part that most lists like this skip: two of those forty three cannot be bought by a new player any more. The licences ran out and the chapters are gone from the stores. If you are starting now, the game has forty one killers for you, not forty three.

Two you can no longer buy

The Shape, better known as Michael Myers. The HALLOWEEN chapter left the stores on 19 January 2026 together with survivor Laurie Strode and the Haddonfield map. Behaviour announced it in advance: the licence expired ahead of a new Halloween game. Anyone who bought it before 19 January keeps everything and plays as before. Everyone else gets the Myers perks in the general pool under different names.

The Cenobite, better known as Pinhead. The Hellraiser chapter was pulled in March 2025 for the same reason.

That is the best answer to the question of whether licensed chapters are worth buying early. They are, if you like the character: licences here expire regularly and you cannot get them back afterwards. The one known counterexample is the Korean All-Kill chapter, which left in January 2024 and came back in March 2026 as All-Kill: Comeback.

The order is chronological, from the base game to the latest chapters. A dash in the map column means the chapter shipped without a new location.

What landed in the past year

If you stepped away from the game for a year you missed three, and one of them is a big deal.

Far fewer realms than killers

There are twenty one realms for forty three killers. Fewer than half the chapters brought a new location, and the distribution is lopsided: almost every map lands in the early years.

Look at the table again. Between 2016 and 2020 a map came with roughly every second chapter. After 2023 new realms have all but stopped, and the last significant addition was Sleepless District, the Korean quarter that arrived on 17 March 2026 alongside the return of All-Kill.

The takeaway for a new player is simple: the rule "new killer means new map" stopped working a long time ago. When you buy a chapter you are paying for the character and the perks, while locations arrive on a separate and much slower track.

The forty fourth arrives today

Chorus of Sin lands on 25 August 2026 with killer The Judgment and survivor Aurora Stardotter. Behaviour describes it as a divine entity that punishes heresy. The power is called Will of the Gods: a pillar of Divine Light injures survivors and marks them with Heresy, and marked survivors who go down can be sent into Exile.

There are two firsts in there. Chorus of Sin is the first chapter shaped by community voting through The Grimoire, and The Judgment is the first killer who can send survivors to a separate map tile, The Hopeless Exile.
