Following up on the story we covered two days ago. Our position stands: we are not showing the footage and we do not recommend hunting for it. But the story has moved on, and the sequel is more interesting than the clips.

Take-Two answered with takedowns, and fast

Rockstar and Take-Two went after the reuploads with copyright notices. The speed was telling: copies were pulled almost as soon as they appeared, and the accounts posting them were struck.

And here is the irony. While the clips were simply circulating, a large part of the audience took them for a fake. What convinced people was not analysis of the footage but the rights holder reaction. Nobody defends someone else material that hard.

The motive the leaker claimed

The account calling itself Cyberleek framed the leak as a protest: supposedly against the game shipping without discs, digital only. The phrase "no disc, no peace" was pushed almost as a slogan.

Worth saying plainly: no decision on a physical edition has been officially announced. The protest is therefore against something nobody has confirmed. And even if it had been confirmed, leaking somebody unfinished work does not become a form of protest.

What comes next, and where to watch it legally

The wait is short. Rockstar is showing an extended look on 27 August, premiering on Netflix. That is the material the studio actually prepared to show: assembled, selected, and without anyone watermark over the frame.

The leaked recordings, as a reminder, come from a build well over eighteen months old. Even the people who watched them did not see the game that is going to ship.
