Unique armour in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: every exoskeleton, its stats and where to find it

Start with the awkward bit, because every other guide skips it. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has no "unique" tag on armour. Nothing in the game marks a suit as one of a kind.

Содержание
  • The three properties that decide your suit
  • Every exoskeleton, and where it is
  • The whole tier in one table
  • What is locked behind the edition you bought
  • What to actually do

What the lists call unique armour is really two different things mixed together: suits that sit in the world as a one-off pickup, and suits that a trader will sell you later if you live long enough. Some of the most famous entries on those lists are in the second group.

So this guide does the thing worth doing. It takes the exoskeletons, the tier everyone is actually hunting, puts the real numbers next to each other, says where each one is, and tells you which one to walk toward.

Protection numbers are what the inventory screen shows you, and they are the least useful thing on it. Here is what actually changes how you play.

  • Artefact slots. Three, four or five depending on the suit. Every slot is a permanent bonus you choose, so the difference between three and five is larger than any gap in the protection columns. This is the number to buy on.
  • It blocks your helmet. Every exoskeleton takes the head slot with it. You are not wearing an exo plus a good gas mask, you are wearing an exo instead of one, and its own anomaly protection has to cover that.
  • It stops you limping. Exoskeletons carry a flag that prevents the limp state. On a long walk back from Prypiat with a full bag, that is worth more than a point of physical protection.

There is a fourth thing nobody mentions: weight. The exoskeletons split into a light group at 10.5 kg and a heavy group at 20 kg, and the heavy ones are not automatically better. That is the whole trade in one line, and it is in the table below.

Chart by FramesGames

Diamond Exoskeleton. Five artefact slots, 10.5 kg, 845 durability, radiation 80, psy 40, and the most even anomaly protection of the light group. It is found on top of the Spark bunker southwest of Yanov station, and the wiki notes it is only reachable there during the main mission The Boundary, which is the kind of detail that ruins a trip if you learn it late. This is our pick, and the reason is the combination of five slots at the lower weight.

Liberty Exoskeleton. Also five slots, also 10.5 kg, also radiation 80 and psy 40, with slightly better physical protection at the top of its upgrade range and slightly worse resistance to fire, electricity and acid. It costs 95,000, the highest of any suit here. And it is not a world pickup at all: the wiki says it is sold by Birch at Rostok near the end of the game. If you were planning a trip for it, you were planning a shopping trip.

Ruby Exosuit. Five slots but 20 kg and 1,170 durability, so this is the heavy version of the same idea. Radiation 80. Physical protection is lower than the light suits, which surprises people. It sits in a locked room on the third floor of the Enerhetyk Palace of Culture in Prypiat, on the northeast side.

Operator Exoskeleton. The interesting one. Four slots, but 1,170 durability at only 10.5 kg, which is heavy suit toughness at light suit weight, and nothing else in the list does that. Radiation 70, psy 30. There are two of them: one near the exit of Lab X-15 below Orbita Station, one at the Fluoridation Station in Jupiter.

Brummbar Exoskeleton. Four slots, 10.5 kg, the joint best physical protection at the top of its range, and the cheapest of the light group at 63,000. The catch is anomaly cover: radiation 60 and psy 20, the weakest here. In Prypiat, southeast of the Enerhetyk Palace of Culture at the building known as the White House, up the stairs. Sources disagree on the floor, the wiki says the fifth and other guides say the sixth, so search both.

Cuirass Exoskeleton. Three slots, 10.5 kg, radiation 60, psy 20, and a price of 90,000 that does not match what it gives you. On the topmost rafter of the SKD Assembly Unit in the Cooling Towers. Take it if you find it early, replace it when you can.

Bulwark Exosuit. Three slots, 20 kg, 1,170 durability, radiation 70, psy 40. Heavy and durable with the artefact capacity of a starter exo. Guides place it in a locked room on the second floor of the Music School in Prypiat.

Shield of Duty Exosuit. Three slots, 20 kg, 1,170 durability, radiation 60. Also not a pickup: the wiki says it appears for sale, rarely, at the Duty base in the Cement Factory in the late game.

The plain Exoskeleton. Four slots, 15 kg, psy 50 which is the highest here, and the only one in the group whose data does not carry the helmet block and anti limp flags. Bought from Mitay if Duty controls Agroprom and the Garbage, and from Thrush as well.

Read down the slot column and the shopping decision makes itself. The Diamond gives you five slots at the light weight for 68,000. The Liberty gives the same for 95,000. The Cuirass asks 90,000 for three.

What is locked behind the edition you bought

Three suits that appear on unique armour lists are reported to come from the Journalist's Stashes that ship with the more expensive editions rather than the base game: the PSZ-21W Shturm, the Wanderer Suit at the Clear Sky base in the Swamp, and the SSP-100M SIRCAA in the Burnt Forest.

We could not settle the Shturm. One guide lists it as Ultimate Edition content in the thirteenth Journalist's Stash, while the wiki gives it a plain world location, an apartment building north of the Prypiat-1 checkpoint behind a locked door on the eighth floor. Its stat entry is also mostly empty, with only a weight of 13 kg and a cost of 131,500 filled in. Treat it as unconfirmed rather than as a guaranteed find, and do not plan a run around it.

What to actually do

  • Aim for the Diamond. Five slots, the light weight, the best rounded anomaly cover, and it costs less than two suits that are worse. Just remember the mission window on the bunker.
  • If you find the Operator first, stop looking. Four slots is one less, but 1,170 durability at 10.5 kg means fewer repair bills and less weight, and there are two of them in the world.
  • Do not walk to Rostok for the Liberty. It is a purchase, and an expensive one for what it adds over the Diamond.
  • Remember what you gave up. The moment you put on any exoskeleton your helmet slot is gone. If your build leaned on a gas mask for anomaly cover, the suit has to make that up on its own.

One honest caveat on all of the above. These numbers come from item data compiled by the community, not from a table published by GSC, and the game has had large patches since launch. If a value in your inventory does not match ours, believe your inventory and tell us.

The weight, durability, cost, artefact slot count, radiation, psy and physical protection values for the Cuirass Exoskeleton, Diamond Exoskeleton, Ruby Exosuit, Bulwark Exosuit, Brummbar Exoskeleton, Operator Exoskeleton, Liberty Exoskeleton, Shield of Duty Exosuit and the plain Exoskeleton, together with the flags that block the helmet slot and prevent limping, were read from the item pages of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Wiki through its export interface on 10 September 2026. The acquisition notes come from the same pages: the SKD Assembly Unit in the Cooling Towers for the Cuirass, the Spark bunker southwest of Yanov station during The Boundary for the Diamond, the locked room on the third floor of the Enerhetyk Palace of Culture in Prypiat for the Ruby, the White House in Prypiat for the Brummbar, Lab X-15 below Orbita Station and the Fluoridation Station in Jupiter for the Operator, the sale by Birch at Rostok for the Liberty, the rare appearance at the Duty base in the Cement Factory for the Shield of Duty, and the sale by Mitay and Thrush for the plain Exoskeleton. The placement of the Bulwark Exosuit in the Music School in Prypiat, the listing of the PSZ-21W Shturm as Ultimate Edition content in the thirteenth Journalist's Stash, the Wanderer Suit at the Clear Sky base in the Swamp and the SSP-100M SIRCAA in the Burnt Forest as edition content, and the sixth floor placement of the Brummbar come from Game8's unique armour list, which conflicts with the wiki on the Shturm and on the Brummbar floor; we have said so rather than picking one. The observation that the game marks no armour as unique, the ranking by artefact slots, the reading of the weight split and the buying advice are ours.
