Fast travel in Stalker 2 only exists through guides in hubs, and only for coupons. The same trip can vary tenfold in price: Wolf in Rookie Village asks 6,000 coupons for Prypiat, Garry at Yaniv asks 1,500, and story progress and faction friendship each halve it again. Below: how it works, every guide, the price formula, and how to get into Prypiat at all. In the story that's the mission "The Boundary", and GSC has been closing the shortcuts patch after patch.
How fast travel works

- Hub to hub only. Guides have a crosshair icon on the map. Walk up, say you're looking for a guide, pick a destination, pay. They can't take you to a quest marker or a random spot, only to another safe camp.
- Only to places where you've met the guide. Per the wiki, guides go to any of the game's 12 major hubs (14 with Cost of Hope), but only if you've personally spoken to the guide at the other end. That's why the first one, Uncle Lyonya in Zalissya, has nowhere to take you at first: until you reach a second hub with a guide, there's no route.
- Not while hungry, sleepy or over-encumbered, and not during an Emission. The overweight one hurts most: you'll have to dump loot first.
- The story can take a guide away. After "Wishful Thinking", Zalissya and Wild Island permanently lose their guides, though others still go there. Yaniv's guide doesn't work during the Monolith assault in "The Boundary", and the Palace of Culture guide stops after the point of no return in "Down Below".
What it costs, and why the price jumps

The wiki breaks the price into three multipliers, which is why guides quote 1,500 one place and 2,000 another "per trip".
- Distance. Each guide has their own table, and it isn't symmetric: Wolf charges 6,000 for Prypiat, Garry at Yaniv 1,500.
- The guide's faction's attitude to you. Enemy pays five times, Disaffection twice, Neutral the table price, Friend half. Toadstool at the Chemical Plant prices by your Loner reputation, not the Ward's.
- Your story rank. Before "Answers Come at a Price" it's 1.5 times; before "Wishful Thinking", standard; before the Faust fight, three quarters; after Faust, half.
PC Gamer wrote that friendly factions give free rides. That's outdated: per the wiki a Friend pays half, and patch 1.2 specifically closed a bug that let you travel for nothing. After Faust, with a friendly guide, a trip to Prypiat from Garry comes to around 400 coupons.
Every guide and where to find them

| Guide | Hub | To Prypiat | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Uncle Lyonya | Zalissya | no data | the first one, gone after "Wishful Thinking" |
| Wolf | Rookie Village, Cordon | 6,000 | same house as technician Multitool |
| Bonkers | Slag Heap, Garbage | 3,000 | outside Huron's shop |
| Toadstool | Chemical Plant | 3,000 | priced by Loner reputation |
| Jager | Cement Factory | 3,000 | Duty |
| Toad | Rostok | no data | Freedom |
| Ducat | Skadovsk, Zaton | 4,000 | bottom of the stairs, Bandits |
| Viktor Kishka | STC Malachite | 3,000 | Scientists |
| Machine | Wild Island | no data | only after "Hot on the Trail", gone after "Wishful Thinking" |
| Scoutmaster | Kazkovyi camp, Burnt Forest | 3,500 | added by Stories Untold |
| Garry | Yaniv Station | 1,500 | from Call of Pripyat, Harpy sits behind him |
| Telegraph | Enerhetyk Palace of Culture, Prypiat | he is Prypiat | stops after the point of no return |
| Beethoven | Chief's Bunker, Iron Forest | 3,000 | Cost of Hope, deaf |
| Draught and Skier | Water Purification Plant, CNPP | Draught: 1,500 before Faust | Cost of Hope, Freedom or Duty depending on your DLC choice |
Icarus, the Ward base in Zaton, has no guide. And keep in mind you can only travel to Prypiat after "The Boundary", which is past the Faust fight, so the real prices in the last column are half the table figures.
How to get to Prypiat in the story: "The Boundary"

Prypiat opens late: "The Boundary" is main mission 43 of 51 on the wiki's list. It starts right after "Escape from the Cage" and comes from Korshunov if you finally stayed with the Ward in "Dangerous Liaisons", or from Strelok after you break out of the Chemical Plant cell. The Boundary itself is a wall of fences and railcars at Yaniv Station, held by the Corps, who sealed the passage after the Signal because of Monolith attacks.
- At Yaniv, Corps commander Dmytro Nor turns you down. Talk to the stalker on the water tower and fight off the Monolith assault.
- In the tunnel towards Limansk find the dying Spirit and take his Spark bunker key card. The bunker, held by a hostile squad, has the M-Scanner, a scanner Diode modified to switch off anomalies. Per the Russian wiki and Shacknews, the Diamond Exoskeleton is there too.
- Then a choice. Give the scanner to Nor: he pays 30,000 coupons (on Stalker difficulty) and lets you through, and you walk via Jupiter past the bakery and the police station. Or keep it and use it to shut down an electric mega-anomaly in a tunnel, then go via Jupiter past the substation.
- The mission ends at the Start shop at the city entrance, and "The Road to the Foundation" begins.
The Corps base in Prypiat is the Enerhetyk Palace of Culture: trader Bison, technician Bolero and guide Telegraph. Talk to Telegraph and Garry at Yaniv starts running you into the city for 1,500. One warning: "Down Below" is the point of no return, and patch 1.3 moved several attachments and upgrades from the final missions into Prypiat stashes. Search the city before you head into the Foundation; the Gauss gun is there too.
Can you get to Prypiat early?

Officially no, and GSC keeps an eye on it. The railroad cistern jump at Yaniv was closed in patch 1.4, the jump between wagons there in 2.0. The Cost of Hope quick starts won't help either: Early Start drops you at the beginning of the expansion and Advanced Start after "A Minor Incident", both long before "The Boundary".
Players keep finding new gaps after 2.0, though: videos with new routes are out for versions 2.0.4, 2.0.5 and 2.0.6, and one author notes "it can take a couple tries". We haven't tested them. The risks are clear: GSC treats these as bugs and patches them; early entry used to break the "Find a way into Prypiat" objective and make the Yaniv guide vanish (fixed in 1.2 and 1.3); and the Monolith greets an underequipped stalker exactly as Garry warns. If you go anyway, save before and after.
