Short version: for a group on the sofa, pick Batman: Caped Crusader Chronicles, Ultimate Chicken Horse and Courtroom Chaos with Judge Arnold Schwarzenegger. All three come with Prime, and the controller is the phone already in your pocket.

Amazon Luna is Amazon's cloud gaming service, and it has a section called GameNight: more than twenty five games for people gathered in one room. Since September 2026 they do not even have to be in the same room. I went through the Luna catalogue as it stands on 13 September and picked eight games that are actually fun with two, four or six people. First, though, what you need to play, because there is a catch with geography.
What you need to play
Only the person starting the game needs a subscription. That means Prime or Luna Premium: in the US, Prime is $14.99 a month or $139 a year, and Luna Premium is $9.99 a month. Guests need nothing.
The picture runs on a Fire TV, selected Samsung and LG televisions, a Fire tablet, a PC, a Mac or a Chromebook. Each player scans a QR code on the screen and their smartphone becomes the controller. There is no app to install.
- Remote Play arrived in September 2026. A host with Prime or Luna Premium can invite up to seven people from anywhere. The guests do not need Prime, just an Amazon account and a supported device. Amazon says more than sixty games already support shared sessions.
- Luna is available in fourteen countries: the US, the UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium and Luxembourg.
If your country is not on that list, no setting will get you in. Everything below assumes you live in one of the fourteen.
The cloud has a second advantage that has nothing to do with parties. The game runs on Amazon's servers and only video reaches you, so a weak graphics card does not hold you back. If you would rather play locally on older hardware, we went through what actually runs on a GTX 1650.
Batman: Caped Crusader Chronicles, a detective game for four
This is the find. The game came out on 31 July 2026 alongside season two of the Batman: Caped Crusader animated series, and you can only play it on Luna. It is not a Batman action game but a detective party game: you join a Gotham police task force with Detective Renee Montoya and work through cases against the city's villains.
There are eleven episodes and all of them were available at launch, so nobody waits a week for the next one. The villains come from the show: Scarecrow, Babyface, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Dollmaker, Lynx, Music Meister and the Joker. Hamish Linklater voices Batman and Michelle C. Bonilla voices Montoya, both reprising their roles from the series.
It takes one to four players, on phones or a regular controller. Each episode is built from mini-games that range from serious to silly: one moment you are scrubbing through surveillance footage for a clue, the next you are drawing a wonky sketch to keep a Z-list supervillain happy.
The GameSpew reviewer says it will not knock Jackbox off its pedestal but is worth playing at least once. For something included with Prime at no extra cost, that is a fair bar. The same reviewer adds a warning: it spoils season two, so watch the show first.
Courtroom Chaos: a court where the judge talks back
The flagship GameNight exclusive and the strangest game on this list. You speak into your phone's microphone, invent a character and defend your testimony, while an AI judge reacts to what you actually said, asks questions and hands down a verdict. There is no script on his side.
There are two judges. The Snoop Dogg version launched on 23 October 2025 with the Luna relaunch, and the Arnold Schwarzenegger version followed on 23 June 2026. Both are in the catalogue on 13 September.
- One to six players. A standard case has two teams, plaintiff and defendant, plus witnesses.
- The Arnold version has four modes: Standard Court, Action Court, a solo debate with the judge, and Settle a Bet, where two people argue out a real disagreement.
- Shy players can sit in the witness box. The host decides how involved each person is.
- Languages of the Arnold version: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Polish and Portuguese.
That last point matters more than it looks. Dutch is not on the list, so a group in the Netherlands will be arguing in English or German, and improvising a defence in a second language is harder than it sounds until your first case.
Ultimate Chicken Horse: build the level so your friend falls
A platformer for up to four where the players build the level themselves. Each round everyone places a trap or a piece of floor in turn, then everyone runs for the flag. You score when you make it and somebody else does not.
So the real skill is measured spite. Place a trap that is too nasty and you will run into it yourself next lap, place something harmless and the points go to everyone else. It has been on Steam since 2016, made by Clever Endeavour Games, with 53,543 reviews of which 96 percent are positive. It costs $14.99 there and is part of GameNight on Luna.
Spacelines from the Far Out: a space airline for four
The most genuinely co-op game in the list. One to four people keep a sixties-style airline in space running: looking after alien passengers, repairing the ship mid-flight and dealing with whatever just went wrong. Every passenger wants something different, and a built-in director adjusts events to how well you are doing.
If you like Overcooked, this is the same panicked scramble around a shared job, only with aliens. It was made by Coffeenauts and has 77 percent positive reviews out of 554 on Steam.
Tetris Effect: Connected Party Edition, three players against a boss
Luna carries a separate Party Edition. According to its catalogue description, it bundles the multiplayer modes of Tetris Effect: Connected together with a new Mystery Battle mode.
The standout mode in the original is Connected, where three players link their matrices into one and fight a computer opponent together. Tetris turning into a team game is not something you see often. The Luna page does not list the Party Edition modes by name, so I cannot confirm exactly which ones made it in. The original has 94 percent positive reviews out of 9,012 on Steam.
Big Helmet Heroes: a two-player brawl for the princess
A 3D beat 'em up about knights with enormous helmets, released in 2025 by Exalted Studio. Two players team up in local co-op to rescue a princess and find out along the way that she is not the whole story.
It is the only strictly two-player game here, which makes it one for a couple or an evening with a kid rather than a big group. Steam reviews are mostly positive, 75 percent out of 1,142.
King of Tokyo: kaiju for six, new in September
A digital version of the board game by Richard Garfield, the man who created Magic: The Gathering. You are a kaiju rolling dice and deciding what matters right now: healing, smacking a neighbour or banking victory points. The first to twenty points wins, and so does the last monster standing.
It joined GameNight in September 2026 and takes up to six players. Amazon says the four new GameNight titles this month were built with Remote Play in mind, so this is a good pick when your group is spread across different cities.
The Jackbox Party Pack 8, for more than six guests
When the group is bigger than the games above can handle, Jackbox steps in. Pack 8 has five games, and the largest take up to ten players plus an audience.
- Drawful Animate, 3 to 10 players. Draw a two-frame animation of an absurd title while the others guess.
- The Wheel of Enormous Proportions, 2 to 8. A trivia game that ends with a giant wheel answering the winner's question.
- Job Job, 3 to 10. Build job interview answers out of other people's words.
- The Poll Mine, 2 to 10. Everyone ranks the options, then guesses how the group answered.
- Weapons Drawn, 4 to 8. Everyone is both a murderer and a detective, and the clues are doodles.
At the 2025 Luna relaunch Amazon named Party Pack 9. On 13 September it is not in the Luna sitemap while Pack 8 is, so that is the one I am writing about. Pack 8 has 90 percent positive reviews out of 1,434 on Steam.
What Steam reviews say
Luna itself does not show reviews, so for a reference point I used Steam, where five of these games have their own versions. Those reviews are for the PC releases, but they say plenty about the games themselves.
Batman and Courtroom Chaos only exist on Luna, so there is nothing to compare. King of Tokyo has just 17 reviews on Steam, which is too few to judge.

What I left out and why
- Ticket to Ride. A good board game, but it is competitive rather than co-op, and the Steam version has mixed reviews: 70 percent positive out of 1,170.
- Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. Amazon named it among the GameNight games at the relaunch, and it is an excellent four-player co-op game with 93 percent positive reviews on Steam. But it is not in the Luna sitemap on 13 September. If you do see it in your catalogue, put it on this list right after Spacelines.
I will check this list against the catalogue once a month. Luna changes, and for September Amazon has already announced two more GameNight games, Bowling Mayhem and Cranium Planet for up to eight players.
