Hunt: Showdown 1896's Halloween event, All Hallows' Cleave, starts today, 13 October. It's part of Blood Testament Chapter 2, and it brings back the Bileweavers along with a nastier red variant, while wildfires and a flamethrower rifle arrive on every map. About 23,000 people are playing on Steam right now, and that number usually climbs into the evening.
Wildfires and a flame rifle

The Inferno time of day is back in rotation and stays there through Chapters 2 and 3. Wildfires sit in fixed spots on the maps, block familiar paths and force new routes, and the smoke cuts visibility hard. AI generally avoids the flames, but if it has to, it will follow you straight through them or cut across.
- Firefighter Supply. A supply type that only appears during Inferno, holding the Flame Rifle, a Scouting Map or Tarot Cards.
- Flame Rifle. A scarce weapon from January's Murder Circus event that sprays pressurised liquid as a steady burst of flame. It's now guaranteed at the Firefighter Supply.
Bileweavers return, Bloodweavers are new

The flame rifle will earn its keep straight away: Bileweavers have infested 20 new compounds across all maps, with five picked for each match. Joining them are Bloodweavers, a deadlier variant that causes bleeding with its jump attack and its hatching eggs. They're easy to spot by their red bodies, and they only show up under the Blood Moon. Regular Bileweaver eggs have changed colour to look properly poisonous, while Bloodweaver eggs are red and spiked.
All Hallows' Cleave: five stages for everyone

It's a community event: everyone pools points from match objectives, and rewards unlock stage by stage.
- Stage 1, The Atlas tarot card. Reveals all hidden locations on the map.
- Stage 3, The Temperance tarot card. Restores the last trait your hunter lost this mission. The developers note it also returns traits taken by Siphon, not just burned ones.
- Stage 5, Long Derringer. A small single-shot pistol firing Long Ammo: high damage, but low velocity and quick drop. Most accurate at short to medium range.
Ahead of the event, on 5 October, update 2.9.1 added hunter avatars from paid DLCs for anyone who owns them, a four-chapter premium story challenge called Cursed Kin with the legendary hunter Cousin Jed and an axe skin among its rewards, and a batch of fixes. It closed an exploit that gave infinite Dark Sight and a spot at First Testimonial Church where you could stand safe from Bloodskin's attacks.
