Lenovo Legion Go 2 with 32 GB and 2 TB now costs $3,082 instead of $2,849

The top Lenovo Legion Go 2, with 32 GB of memory and a 2 TB SSD, now costs $3,081.99 on Lenovo's US store. Not long ago the same model sold for $2,849, so it went up $233, or about 8 percent, in a single step. Lenovo has not announced a price increase: the number simply changed on the product page, and the handheld is out of stock at Lenovo anyway.

How the price climbed

Legion Go 2 price history: from $1,349.99 to $3,081.99

According to TechPowerUp, the Ryzen Z2 Extreme model with 32 GB and a 1 TB SSD launched at $1,349.99, then rose to $1,999.99, which is what Best Buy charges for it today. The 2 TB version had reached $2,849 and has now crossed three thousand at Lenovo. In other words, the line has become almost one and a half times more expensive since launch even in the 1 TB version, and it still runs on integrated graphics.

Why it keeps getting pricier

Lenovo does not give a reason, but the picture is familiar. Memory and storage have been getting more expensive all through 2026 because of shortages, and the Legion Go 2 carries 32 GB of soldered LPDDR5X and a fast SSD, exactly the parts that saw the biggest jumps. Consoles tell the same story: the average PlayStation price in the US hit $597 and sales dropped, as we covered in our Circana data piece.

  • What's inside. AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme, 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8000, a 2 TB SSD, an 8.8-inch 144 Hz OLED screen.
  • Where it's cheaper. The 1 TB version still costs $1,999.99 at Best Buy, and unlike Lenovo's store, Best Buy has it in stock.
  • What to do. If you need lots of storage, take the 1 TB version and add a microSD card: the slot supports cards up to 2 TB.

These are US prices, and Europe may look different. But if you have been eyeing a flagship handheld, the gap between the 1 TB and 2 TB versions is now over a thousand dollars, and there is no reason to pay that for one extra terabyte.
