Ubisoft has published the PC requirements for Rayman Legends Retold. A GTX 1660 is enough for 1080p at 60 fps on low, while 4K on ultra calls for an RTX 4080. All four tiers assume upscaling on the Quality setting, and the game needs 33 GB on an SSD. It launches on 3 December on PC, PS5, Xbox Series and Switch 2, and costs $39.99 on Steam.

The full requirements

TierGraphics cardProcessorRAM
Minimum: 1080p, 60 fps, lowGTX 1660 6 GB, RX 5500 XT 4 GB, Arc A580 8 GBCore i3-8100, Ryzen 3 31008 GB
Recommended: 1080p, 60 fps, highRTX 2060 Super 8 GB, RX 5700 8 GB, Arc A750 8 GBCore i5-8400, Ryzen 5 360016 GB
1440p, 60 fps, highRTX 3070 8 GB, RX 6750 XT 12 GB, Arc B580 12 GBCore i5-8400, Ryzen 5 360016 GB
4K, 60 fps, ultraRTX 4080 16 GB, RX 7900 XTX 24 GBCore i5-9400, Ryzen 5 360016 GB

RAM is listed in dual channel throughout, and Intel cards need Resizable BAR switched on. The minimum tier targets Windows 10, the rest Windows 11, and no Intel Arc card is named for 4K. Ubisoft's list has two typos: the RTX 2060 Super appears as "RTX 20260S", and the 1440p tier names an Arc B850, which does not exist. It almost certainly means the 12 GB Arc B580, which is what we put in the table.

Why a side-scroller asks this much

Retold is not a straight remaster but a reimagining of the 2013 original: new visuals, a retold story, dragon rides, a new realm called the Land of the Livid Dead and fully voiced cutscenes. Even so, an RTX 4080 for 4K at 60 fps with upscaling looks like a lot. Wccftech pointed out that the same game is also coming to Switch 2.

Watch out on the Steam store page: as of 24 September it still shows older requirements, with a GTX 1650 as the minimum and 10 GB of storage. Ubisoft posted the new figures on 23 September in the news section of the same page, and those are what our table uses.

Pre-ordering any edition on Steam includes Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition. If your card sits below the minimum, do not write the game off yet: publishers set requirements with a margin, and benchmarks after 3 December will show the real load.
