  • The best Warframes in 2026

If you are just starting out and the real question is who to build first, this page is not the answer to it. Our breakdown of the best Warframes of 2026 is, with the frames sorted by the job they do and by what building them actually costs.

Bought in the Market, components from bosses

  • Ash. Ash's main blueprint sits in the Market. The component blueprints come out of Railjack: Systems in Venus Proxima, Neuroptics in Neptune Proxima, Chassis in Pluto Proxima, from Survival, Defense, Exterminate and Volatile missions. Without a built Railjack or a friendly captain in the squad there is nothing to do there. The short way round is The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox: on the week Ash is up, the tier 10 reward hands over the whole set.
  • Ember. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from General Sargas Ruk on Tethys, Saturn. He is not the quickest boss, you have to hit the vents he opens, but the mission is short and repeats forever. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox also gets there: tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10.
  • Equinox. Nothing here works the normal way. First you build two aspects, Equinox Day Aspect and Equinox Night Aspect, each with its own Neuroptics, Chassis and Systems, and only then the Warframe itself. Eight blueprints instead of four. All the components and both aspects drop from Tyl Regor on Titania, Uranus: one run hands over one day aspect and one night aspect. The main blueprint is a Market purchase.
  • Excalibur. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from Lieutenant Lech Kril on War, Mars. That is the first real boss mechanic in the game: knock the coolant tanks off his back, then finish him. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox collects the blueprints too, tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10. Separately, Teshin sells a finished Excalibur for 60,000 Conclave standing at Typhoon rank.
  • Frost. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from Captain Vor and Lieutenant Lech Kril on Exta, Ceres: they come as a pair, Kril first, Vor after. The mission is short and repeats without limits. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox hands over the whole set at the tier 10 reward.
  • Gauss. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from Rotation C of Disruption on Kappa, Sedna, each at a 7.84 percent chance. The Disruption there is quick but demands patience: reaching Rotation C takes four successful rounds in a row.
  • Grendel. The main blueprint is in the Market, but the components are their own strange errand. The Arbitration Honors vendor in any relay sells locators at 25 Vitus Essence each, and every locator unlocks its own mission on Europa. The Neuroptics Locator opens Archaeo-freighter, a 20 minute Survival. The Chassis Locator opens Icefields of Riddah, a six wave Defense. The Systems Locator opens Mines of Karishh, an Excavation for 800 Cryotic. Finishing the mission guarantees the matching component. The catch is the restrictions: no mods, no arcanes, no operator, no gear, no Archon Shards. There is no public matchmaking either, so the squad has to be assembled by hand, and only the host spends a locator.
  • Hydroid. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from Councilor Vay Hek on Oro, Earth. There is a gate here: the mission asks for Mastery Rank 5 and will not let you in earlier. The fight has two phases, in the second Vay Hek hides inside an armoured head. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox covers tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10.
  • Ivara. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from spy missions, nightmare ones included, depending on mission level. Alerts and sorties do not award identified items and are out. All parts sit in Rotation C of the reward tables, so three clean vault extractions are needed before they can even show up. The Steel Path does not help, its spy tables are the same as normal. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox closes the set at tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10.
  • Khora. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from regular Sanctuary Onslaught, the regular one, not Elite. A rotation there counts every two zones on the usual A-A-B-C pattern, so the reward you want takes eight zones. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox collects everything at tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10.
  • Loki. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from the Hyena Pack on Psamathe, Neptune: four robots with different habits, fought all at once. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox collects them at tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10.
  • Mag. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from The Sergeant on Iliad, Phobos, one of the fastest boss fights in the game. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox covers tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10. Teshin also sells a finished Mag for 60,000 Conclave standing at Typhoon rank.
  • Mesa. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from Mutalist Alad V on Eris, but you cannot simply fly there: it needs a Mutalist Alad V Assassinate Key. The key blueprint comes from the Patient Zero quest and the key itself is built from Mutalist Alad V Nav Coordinates, which drop from Infested invasions. A long chain, but every step is clear. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox closes all of it at once.
  • Nekros. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from Lephantis on Magnacidium, Deimos: three heads, each finished off separately. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox collects the set at tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10.
  • Nova. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from the Raptors on Naamah, Europa: a flight of drones that keeps its distance, so bring something with reach. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox closes the set.
  • Nyx. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from Phorid, and Phorid only shows up in assassination nodes during an Infested invasion. So the farm depends on what the star chart happens to be doing right now: no invasion, no Phorid. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox collects the blueprints without that dependency.
  • Oberon. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components sit in Empyrean points of interest: Neuroptics and Systems in Earth Proxima, Chassis in Saturn Proxima. That means a Railjack and boarding derelict ships. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox gives the same set without Empyrean.
  • Rhino. Rhino's main blueprint is sold in the Market for credits. The three component blueprints drop from Jackal, the boss on Fossa, Venus. It is one of the easiest boss fights in the game, cleared on any frame with nearly any weapon, so the farm comes down to luck: 38.72 percent for Chassis and Neuroptics, 22.56 for Systems. After The Duviri Paradox all his blueprints can be pulled out of The Circuit on the week Rhino is up.
  • Saryn. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from Kela De Thaym on Merrow, Sedna, and getting to her needs Judgement Points from Rathuum, a separate arena mode. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox gives the same blueprints without Rathuum.
  • Trinity. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from Ambulas on Hades, Pluto. That fight runs on hacking: the drones have to be downed and hacked, not just shot. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox gives the same set.
  • Valkyr. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from Alad V on Themisto, Jupiter. The fight is short and he brings Zanuka, a robot stitched together from Warframe parts, Valkyr's included. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox gives the same set at tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10.
  • Vauban. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components are bought in the Nightwave Offerings at 25 creds each, 75 creds for the set. Vauban used to be a pure alert lottery, now it is only a matter of time, since creds accumulate from Nightwave tasks. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox works too.

Researched in a clan dojo

  • Banshee. All of Banshee's blueprints are researched in the Tenno Lab in a clan dojo. There is no other source: no boss, no quest, no bounty. With no clan of your own, the easy move is joining a settled one where the Tenno Lab has been finished for years.
  • Dagath. The blueprints live in the Dagath's Hollow room in a clan dojo. The room needs no research at all, just construction. Components are paid for in Vainthorns, 102 of them in total. Vainthorn drops in the Abyssal Zone, a separate Exterminate mission on Ceres, entered with an Abyssal Beacon, and the beacons are sold by syndicates at Rank 2 for 5,000 standing. One clear gives 6 to 8, on The Steel Path 8 to 12. Only the player who started the vote spends a beacon.
  • Nezha. All of Nezha's blueprints are researched in the Tenno Lab in a clan dojo. The main blueprint used to sit in the Market for 100,000 credits with components from sorties, but that ended with Update 19.
  • Volt. Volt's blueprints are researched in the Tenno Lab in a clan dojo. That is the only proper way to build him by hand, no boss drops them. With no clan of your own, join any settled one where the Tenno Lab is finished and the research has been closed for years. Separately, Teshin sells a finished Volt for 60,000 Conclave standing at Typhoon rank.
  • Wukong. All of Wukong's blueprints are researched in the Tenno Lab in a clan dojo. As with the other lab frames there is no other source, no boss and no quest.
  • Yareli. The main blueprint comes from The Waverider, a quest built out of K-Drive trick challenges, one per day. Components are researched in the Ventkids' Bash Lab in a clan dojo. A repeat main blueprint costs 50,000 standing at Cephalon Simaris.
  • Zephyr. All of Zephyr's blueprints are researched in the Tenno Lab in a clan dojo. There is no other source.

Handed over by a quest

  • Atlas. The main blueprint is a reward for The Jordas Precept. The three component blueprints drop from the Jordas Golem on Jordas Golem Assassinate, Eris, unlocked by that same quest. If the main blueprint got lost, Cephalon Simaris sells another for 50,000 standing. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox works too: Neuroptics at tier 2, Chassis at 5, Systems at 8, main at 10.
  • Chroma. The main blueprint is a reward for The New Strange. The components arrive from Junctions: Neuroptics from the Uranus Junction, Chassis from Neptune, Systems from Pluto. It is a rare case with no farming at all, you just push through progression nodes. Repeat blueprints come from Cephalon Simaris, 25,000 standing per component and 50,000 for the main one.
  • Cyte-09. The main blueprint is a reward for The Hex quest. Components drop from Höllvania Central Mall bounties as an uncommon reward. The same set is sold by Amir of The Hex: components at 20,000 standing with Rank 2 Fresh Slice, the main blueprint at 50,000 with Rank 4 Hot and Fresh.
  • Excalibur Umbra. Umbra comes from The Sacrifice: the blueprint after the first mission, the right to build him after the second. He has no components at all, the single blueprint is the whole recipe. Even built he cannot be used until the penultimate mission of the quest, and then he arrives at rank 30 with an Orokin Reactor already installed and a free slot. Replaying the quest gives no second blueprint and Cephalon Simaris does not sell one, so every account has exactly one Umbra.
  • Gara. The main blueprint is a reward for Saya's Vigil. Components drop from Plains of Eidolon bounties, so they are farmed at Konzu in Cetus. Repeat main blueprints come from Cephalon Simaris for 50,000 standing. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox fits too: tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10.
  • Garuda. The main blueprint comes from Vox Solaris, the short intro quest for Fortuna. Components drop from Orb Vallis bounties at Eudico. A repeat main blueprint sits with Cephalon Simaris for 50,000 standing. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox covers tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10.
  • Harrow. The main blueprint is a reward for Chains of Harrow. The components sit in three different places: Chassis drops from enemies in Void Fissures, Neuroptics from Rotation A spy vaults on Pago, Kuva Fortress, and Systems from Defection missions on Rotations B and C. Neuroptics and Systems also drop in Rotation C of Kuva Survival on Taveuni. A repeat main blueprint costs 50,000 standing at Cephalon Simaris. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox closes all of it at tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10.
  • Inaros. Every Inaros blueprint comes from the Sands of Inaros quest. The quest itself starts from a blueprint you can trade from another player or buy from Baro Ki'Teer for 100 ducats and 25,000 credits when he visits. Inside the quest you have to complete kill tasks with specific weapons, and that is the long part. Repeats come from Cephalon Simaris: 25,000 standing per component, 50,000 for the main one. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox works as well.
  • Jade. The main blueprint is a reward for the Jade Shadows quest. Components drop from Ascension on Brutus, Uranus, at 5 percent. There is a fair trade route too: Ordis in the Drifter's Camp sells the blueprints for Vestigial Motes, which fall in that same mission, 11 to 13 per run and 16 to 18 on The Steel Path. A component costs 150, the main blueprint 450, the whole set 900.
  • Limbo. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components come from The Limbo Theorem, a quest that unlocks after clearing the Europa Junction on Jupiter. Repeat components cost 25,000 standing at Cephalon Simaris. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox closes the set at tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10.
  • Mirage. The main blueprint is in the Market. Components are handed out one per mission across the Hidden Messages quest. The quest is short but built around puzzles with Aegrit and old recordings. Repeat blueprints cost 25,000 standing at Cephalon Simaris. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox works too.
  • Nidus. The main blueprint comes from The Glast Gambit, and a repeat costs 50,000 standing at Cephalon Simaris. Components drop from Infested Salvage on Oestrus, Eris, across rotations A, B and C, with noticeably better odds in C. It is an odd mission built around holding consoles and watching the infestation. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox closes the set.
  • Octavia. The main blueprint and the Mandachord come from Octavia's Anthem. The components are spread across three places: Chassis from the music puzzle on Lua, Neuroptics from Rotation C of Terrorem Survival on Deimos, Systems from the Rotation A cache of Plato, a crossfire Exterminate on Lua. Repeat Mandachord and main blueprints cost 25,000 and 50,000 standing at Cephalon Simaris. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox closes everything.
  • Protea. The main blueprint is a reward for The Deadlock Protocol, and a repeat costs 50,000 standing at Cephalon Simaris. Components come from the Granum Void, a side space reachable only from the Corpus ship tileset and entered with crowns. Neuroptics from Rotation C of the basic Granum Void on a Granum Crown, Chassis from Rotation C of the extended one on an Exemplar Granum Crown, Systems from Rotation C of the nightmare one on a Zenith Granum Crown.
  • Qorvex. The main blueprint is a reward for Whispers in the Walls. Components drop from Sanctum Anatomica bounties as an uncommon reward. Bird 3 of Cavia sells the same set: components at 20,000 standing with Rank 2 Researcher, the main blueprint at 50,000 with Rank 4 Scholar.
  • Revenant. The main blueprint is a reward for Mask of the Revenant, which unlocks at Rank 2 Observer with The Quills. Components drop from Plains of Eidolon bounties, and the quest itself asks you to build at least two different components before it moves on. A repeat main blueprint costs 50,000 standing at Cephalon Simaris. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox closes the set.
  • Sevagoth. The main blueprint is a reward for Call of the Tempestarii. Components only drop in Void Storms, meaning Railjack fissure missions, at 10 percent: Neptune Proxima on Meso and Neo fissures, Pluto Proxima on Neo and Axi, Veil Proxima on Axi. It is a separate bonus reward and does not overlap with relic rewards. A repeat main blueprint costs 50,000 standing at Cephalon Simaris.
  • Sirius & Orion. The Jade Shadows: Constellations quest for the main blueprint, components from Uranus Proxima in Railjack.
  • Titania. Every Titania blueprint comes from The Silver Grove. The quest is built around finding shrines and gathering plants on Earth rather than fighting. Repeats come from Cephalon Simaris: 25,000 standing per component, 50,000 for the main one. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox closes the set.
  • Uriel. The main blueprint is a reward for The Old Peace. Components drop in Roathe's Oblivion on Infernium 21 in The Descendia. The other route: Roathe in La Cathedrale, Sanctum Anatomica, sells the blueprints for Maphica, mined in the same place. A component costs 25 Maphica, the main blueprint 75, the whole set 150.
  • Xaku. The main blueprint is a reward for Heart of Deimos. Components drop from Cambion Drift bounties and the bounty level matters: Neuroptics at level 15 to 25, Systems at 30 to 40, Chassis at either 40 to 60 or Steel Path level 100. The reward starts appearing from the second stage of a bounty onwards. A repeat main blueprint costs 50,000 standing at Cephalon Simaris. One extra catch: building needs Gyromag Systems, which want Rank 5 Old Mate with Solaris United or Rank 1 Operative with Vox Solaris.

Dropped by open world bounties

  • Caliban. The main blueprint is a Market purchase for credits. Components drop from Narmer Bounties, which open after The New War. Only one component sits in the pool at a time, and which one is picked at random every time the bounties refresh, which is two and a half hours. So the hunt can drag on because of the rotation rather than the drop chance.
  • Gyre. Every Gyre blueprint, main and components alike, drops from The Holdfasts bounties on the Chrysalith, which is to say on the Zariman. Access opens with the Angels of the Zariman quest. No bosses, no rotations, just bounties.
  • Nokko. Main and component blueprints drop from Deepmines bounties, components as an uncommon reward and the main one as rare. Access opens after The New War. The route without the roll: Nightcap in Fortuna sells them for Fergolyte, which comes from those same bounties. A component costs 160, the main blueprint 240, the whole set 720. Buying needs Rank 4 Gardener with Nightcap.

Bought from vendors for syndicate standing and currency

  • Baruuk. Baruuk's blueprints come from Little Duck of Vox Solaris on Fortuna. The main one needs Rank 2 Agent, the components Rank 3 Hand, each costs 5,000 standing, 20,000 for the set. Vox Solaris standing comes from Toroids and Orb Vallis heists. The alternative is the usual one: The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox, tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10.
  • Citrine. The main and component blueprints drop from Rotation C of Mirror Defense on Tyana Pass, Mars, which opens after Heart of Deimos. If you would rather not roll dice, Otak in the Necralisk sells the same blueprints for Belric and Rania Crystal Fragments, which fall from that same Mirror Defense. Neuroptics and Chassis cost 350 of each fragment, Systems 350 Rania and 300 Belric, the main blueprint 500 and 500. That is 1,550 Rania and 1,500 Belric for the full set. Building also needs Stellated Necrathene, which requires Rank 2 Acquaintance with the Entrati.
  • Dante. The main blueprint and all three components drop from Rotation C of Disruption on Armatus, Deimos. Access opens after The Deadlock Protocol and Whispers in the Walls. If you would rather not depend on chance, Loid in Sanctum Anatomica sells the same blueprints for Vessel Capillaries: Armatus demolishers drop 2 to 4 apiece, 5 to 7 on The Steel Path. A component costs 90, the main blueprint 270, the whole set 540.
  • Follie. Main and component blueprints drop from Rotation A of Follie's Hunt on Vesper Relay, Venus. Access opens after Chains of Harrow. If you would rather buy than roll, Aspirant Zorba in any relay trades the same blueprints for Atramentum, which falls from that same Follie's Hunt. A component costs 400, the main blueprint 1,200, the whole set 2,400.
  • Hildryn. The main blueprint is sold by Little Duck for 5,000 standing at Rank 2 Agent with Vox Solaris. Components drop from the Exploiter Orb on Orb Vallis, a separate long fight built around overheating. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox collects the same set at tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10.
  • Kullervo. Kullervo's blueprints are sold by Acrithis in the Dormizone for Kullervo's Bane: 15 for the main one and 9 per component, 42 in total. The Banes drop from beating the Kullervo boss and from completing the Spiral, meaning killing the Orowyrm, in Duviri. He shows up on the island called Kullervo's Hold, which only spawns on Anger, Sorrow and Fear spirals in The Duviri Experience. Talk to The Warden and take the fight in the flooded arena.
  • Lavos. Lavos blueprints come from Father in the Necralisk for Entrati standing. The main one needs Rank 2 Acquaintance, the components Rank 3 Associate, each costs 5,000 standing, 20,000 for the set. Entrati standing comes from Cambion Drift bounties and from handing in resources.
  • Oraxia. Main and component blueprints drop from Isleweaver in Duviri. Access opens after The Hex quest. The other route: Acrithis in the Dormizone sells the same blueprints for Scuttler Husks, which come from Isleweaver itself. A component costs 20 husks, the main blueprint 60, the whole set 120.
  • Styanax. Blueprints come from Chipper in Kahl's Garrison for Stock, earned in the weekly Break Narmer missions that open after Veilbreaker. The ranks differ: Systems at Rank 2 Encampment, Neuroptics at Rank 3 Fort, Chassis at Rank 4 Settlement, the main blueprint at Rank 5 Home. A component costs 60 Stock, the main one 90, the whole set 270. Since the missions are weekly, Styanax stretches across several weeks.
  • Temple. Main and component blueprints drop from Stage Defense at Solstice Square in Höllvania. Access opens after The Hex quest and needs Rank 4 Hot and Fresh with The Hex syndicate. The same rank unlocks buying them from Flare for Beating Heartstrings, which fall in that same mission. A component costs 65, the main blueprint 195, the whole set 390.
  • Voruna. Main and component blueprints drop from Rotation C of Conjunction Survival on Lua, the Yuvarium and Circulus nodes. Access opens after The War Within. The shop route: Archimedean Yonta on the Chrysalith sells the same blueprints for Lua Thrax Plasm, which falls in the same missions, 3 per rotation in Yuvarium, 5 in Circulus or in Yuvarium on The Steel Path, 6 in Circulus on The Steel Path. Reaching the Chrysalith needs Angels of the Zariman.

Special cases

  • Koumei. Main and component blueprints drop from Shrine Defense on Saya's Visions, Earth. Access opens after Saya's Vigil and Once Awake. The route without the roulette: Koumei's Shrine in Cetus sells the same blueprints for Fate Pearls, dropped by the Infested Oni at the end of Shrine Defense, 14 to 18 a run and 20 to 24 on The Steel Path. A component costs 55, the main blueprint 165, the whole set 330.
  • Wisp. Every Wisp blueprint, main and components, drops from the Ropalolyst on the node of the same name on Jupiter. It is a set piece fight: the Sentient has to be dragged to the towers and discharged through them. Her blueprints drop nowhere else, so there is exactly one route.
