Octavia plays music and the music kills. Mallet soaks damage and returns it on the beat, Metronome hands out buffs for jumping in time. Her own sequencer, the Mandachord, lets you write the tune.
Can you buy Octavia for platinum

Buying is simple here, yes, Octavia costs 225 platinum in the Market and arrives fully built with a free slot.
- Price. 225 platinum for a built Octavia with a slot for it.
- Mastery. It ticks the same whether the frame was bought or built, so buying saves time, not rank.
There is a second route people forget about. A full Octavia Prime set on warframe.market goes for around 84 platinum as of 29 August 2026, which is 2.7 times cheaper than the 225 the shop wants for the regular version. The difference is what you get: 225 buys a finished frame with a slot, while a market set is blueprints that you still have to build and feed with resources. Platinum but no time, use the shop. Time but little platinum, buy the Prime set, which is the stronger frame anyway.
Is there a Octavia Prime

Yes, Octavia Prime exists, but it is vaulted: its relics left the drop tables on 14.12.2022. That leaves three ways in: trade the parts from other players, catch it in Prime Resurgence when Varzia offers it for Regal Aya, or wait for an unvaulting.
The Prime recipe is its own thing and noticeably heavier: it eats 8 Neural Sensors instead of 5. Components cost 15,000 credits and 12 hours each, the final build costs 25,000 and sits for 72 h. The regular version takes exactly as long for its final build. Do not toss the spare parts, Baro Ki'Teer takes them for ducats, prices are in the table.

Where the blueprints come from

The main blueprint and the Mandachord come from Octavia's Anthem. The components are spread across three places: Chassis from the music puzzle on Lua, Neuroptics from Rotation C of Terrorem Survival on Deimos, Systems from the Rotation A cache of Plato, a crossfire Exterminate on Lua. Repeat Mandachord and main blueprints cost 25,000 and 50,000 standing at Cephalon Simaris. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox closes everything.
What it is built from

It builds like every other frame: three parts, then the main blueprint over them. Components run in the Foundry at the same time, so from the first click to a finished frame it is roughly 84 h: twelve for the parts and 72 for the Warframe itself.
| Blueprint | Credits | Time | Resources per build |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chassis | 15 000 | 12 h | Polymer Bundle x6 000, Salvage x25 000, Plastids x1 500, Neurodes x3 |
| Neuroptics | 15 000 | 12 h | Oxium x1 000, Polymer Bundle x4 800, Plastids x2 600, Neural Sensors x5 |
| Systems | 15 000 | 12 h | Kuva x2 000, Circuits x3 000, Morphics x20, Orokin Cell x5 |
| Octavia | 25 000 | 72 h | Octavia Neuroptics x1, Octavia Chassis x1, Octavia Systems x1, Mandachord x1 |
Where to farm the resources

Look at Oxium first. The recipe asks for 1000, and you will have to go and get it deliberately. Oxium Ospreys drop it and almost nothing else does. Io on Jupiter is the classic spot because the defence waves keep sending them. Second heaviest is Morphics at 20. Mercury and Earth. Apollodorus on Mercury is a short survival that keeps handing them out. Everything else accumulates while you play and needs no special trip.
| Resource | Where it drops |
|---|---|
| Mandachord | Octavia's instrument, the blueprint comes from the Octavia's Anthem quest |
| Polymer Bundle | Mercury, Venus, and Uranus |
| Salvage | Mars, Jupiter, and Sedna |
| Plastids | Phobos, Saturn, Uranus, Pluto, and Eris |
| Neurodes | Earth, Lua, Eris, and Deimos |
| Oxium | Venus, Jupiter, Mars, Neptune, Pluto, Eris, Europa, and Lua |
| Neural Sensors | Jupiter |
| Kuva | Kuva Siphon Missions and Taveuni (Kuva Fortress) |
| Circuits | Venus, Ceres, and the Kuva Fortress |
| Morphics | Mercury, Mars, Phobos, Europa, and Pluto |
| Orokin Cell | Ceres, Saturn, and Deimos |
Is Octavia worth building
Octavia plays a song you write yourself: the beat buffs damage, speed and invisibility for everyone standing in it.
The numbers look like this: no mastery rank requirement, roughly 84 hours from the first foundry press to a finished frame, and 70 000 credits across all the builds together. A finished Prime set on the market runs about 84 platinum.
The strongest afk-adjacent frame ever made. Building the Mandachord track is half the fun and half the work.
Every other frame is broken down the same way, the full list lives in the guide to all Warframes.
