Wukong walks around with a twin, escapes into a cloud and refuses to die thanks to Defy. One of the most forgiving frames in the game, which is why he shows up in so many public squads.

Can you buy Wukong for platinum

In short, yes, Wukong costs 275 platinum in the Market and arrives fully built with a free slot.

  • Price. 275 platinum for a built Wukong with a slot for it.
  • Mastery. It ticks the same whether the frame was bought or built, so buying saves time, not rank.

There is a second route people forget about. A full Wukong Prime set on warframe.market goes for around 74 platinum as of 29 August 2026, which is 3.7 times cheaper than the 275 the shop wants for the regular version. The difference is what you get: 275 buys a finished frame with a slot, while a market set is blueprints that you still have to build and feed with resources. Platinum but no time, use the shop. Time but little platinum, buy the Prime set, which is the stronger frame anyway.

Is there a Wukong Prime

Yes, Wukong Prime exists, but it is vaulted: its relics left the drop tables on 25.05.2021. That leaves three ways in: trade the parts from other players, catch it in Prime Resurgence when Varzia offers it for Regal Aya, or wait for an unvaulting.

The Prime recipe is its own thing and noticeably heavier: it eats 3 800 Ferrite instead of 900. Components cost 15,000 credits and 12 hours each, the final build costs 25,000 and sits for 72 h. The regular version takes exactly as long for its final build. Do not toss the spare parts, Baro Ki'Teer takes them for ducats, prices are in the table.

Where the blueprints come from

All of Wukong's blueprints are researched in the Tenno Lab in a clan dojo. As with the other lab frames there is no other source, no boss and no quest.

This is where most people get stuck: the blueprints sit in a clan dojo, and a new player has no clan. It takes one evening to get past.

  • Find a clan. Open the Recruiting chat in game and say you are looking for a clan with the Tenno Lab researched. There are almost always open spots and joining takes a minute.
  • If the research is not done, any member with research rights can start it. Pick the frame in the Tenno Lab, the clan chips in resources, then a timer runs.
  • You cannot buy the blueprints from another player. Clan lab blueprints are not tradeable. Only Prime parts are.
  • If you would rather not hunt for a clan, two routes remain: 275 platinum for the finished frame in the shop, or a Prime set from the market.

What it is built from

The Foundry wants four runs: three components first, the final assembly after. Components run in the Foundry at the same time, so from the first click to a finished frame it is roughly 84 h: twelve for the parts and 72 for the Warframe itself.

There is exactly one bottleneck here, and it is Nitain Extract: the recipe wants 6 and it will not pile up on its own. Nightwave Cred Offerings, 15 creds a piece. It does not drop from enemies any more, so this one is bought weekly and cannot be rushed. Second heaviest is Plastids at 4000. Saturn and Ceres. Piscinas on Saturn is the usual survival for them. Everything else accumulates while you play and needs no special trip.

Is Wukong worth building

Wukong refuses to die: Defy sets his health back after a knockdown, and his Celestial Twin plays the mission alongside him.

The numbers look like this: no mastery rank requirement, roughly 84 hours from the first foundry press to a finished frame, and 70 000 credits across all the builds together. A finished Prime set on the market runs about 74 platinum.

The most forgiving frame for a solo player. He was nerfed and is still the one people finish the star chart with.

Every other frame is broken down the same way, the full list lives in the guide to all Warframes.
