Zephyr is air: Turbulence deflects bullets, Tail Wind lifts her up, Tornado gathers enemies into whirlwinds. The only frame that is genuinely comfortable fighting vertically.

Can you buy Zephyr for platinum

Short answer: yes, Zephyr costs 275 platinum in the Market and arrives fully built with a free slot.

  • Price. 275 platinum for a built Zephyr with a slot for it.
  • Mastery. It ticks the same whether the frame was bought or built, so buying saves time, not rank.

There is a second route people forget about. A full Zephyr Prime set on warframe.market goes for around 74 platinum as of 29 August 2026, which is 3.7 times cheaper than the 275 the shop wants for the regular version. The difference is what you get: 275 buys a finished frame with a slot, while a market set is blueprints that you still have to build and feed with resources. Platinum but no time, use the shop. Time but little platinum, buy the Prime set, which is the stronger frame anyway.

Is there a Zephyr Prime

Yes, Zephyr Prime exists, but it is vaulted: its relics left the drop tables on 17.12.2019. That leaves three ways in: trade the parts from other players, catch it in Prime Resurgence when Varzia offers it for Regal Aya, or wait for an unvaulting.

The Prime recipe is its own thing and noticeably heavier: it eats 3 175 Nano Spores instead of 900. Components cost 15,000 credits and 12 hours each, the final build costs 25,000 and sits for 72 h. The regular version takes exactly as long for its final build. Do not toss the spare parts, Baro Ki'Teer takes them for ducats, prices are in the table.

Where the blueprints come from

All of Zephyr's blueprints are researched in the Tenno Lab in a clan dojo. There is no other source.

This is where most people get stuck: the blueprints sit in a clan dojo, and a new player has no clan. It takes one evening to get past.

  • Find a clan. Open the Recruiting chat in game and say you are looking for a clan with the Tenno Lab researched. There are almost always open spots and joining takes a minute.
  • If the research is not done, any member with research rights can start it. Pick the frame in the Tenno Lab, the clan chips in resources, then a timer runs.
  • You cannot buy the blueprints from another player. Clan lab blueprints are not tradeable. Only Prime parts are.
  • If you would rather not hunt for a clan, two routes remain: 275 platinum for the finished frame in the shop, or a Prime set from the market.

What it is built from

The build runs in four passes: three components at twelve hours each, then the frame itself. Components run in the Foundry at the same time, so from the first click to a finished frame it is roughly 84 h: twelve for the parts and 72 for the Warframe itself.

There is exactly one bottleneck here, and it is Oxium: the recipe wants 600 and it will not pile up on its own. Oxium Ospreys drop it and almost nothing else does. Io on Jupiter is the classic spot because the defence waves keep sending them. Everything else accumulates while you play and needs no special trip.

Is Zephyr worth building

Zephyr owns the air: Turbulence deflects bullets, Tail Wind lifts her off the floor, and Tornado gathers a crowd into funnels.

The numbers look like this: no mastery rank requirement, roughly 84 hours from the first foundry press to a finished frame, and 70 000 credits across all the builds together. A finished Prime set on the market runs about 74 platinum.

The only frame that is genuinely comfortable fighting vertically. Ordinary on the ground, unmatched above it.

Every other frame is broken down the same way, the full list lives in the guide to all Warframes.
