Excalibur is the face of the game and one of the three starter frames. Exalted Blade gives an endless sword with waves, Radial Blind blinds the room. Simple, legible and still working.

Can you buy Excalibur for platinum

Short answer: yes, Excalibur costs 75 platinum in the Market and arrives fully built with a free slot.

  • Price. 75 platinum for a built Excalibur with a slot for it.
  • Mastery. It ticks the same whether the frame was bought or built, so buying saves time, not rank.

Is there a Excalibur Prime

Excalibur Prime exists, but there is no way to get it. It went to Founders only, back in 2013, it never entered relics and never will, and it cannot be traded. It has no recipe and no blueprint source, so there is nothing to break down here.

Where the blueprints come from

The main blueprint is in the Market. Components drop from Lieutenant Lech Kril on War, Mars. That is the first real boss mechanic in the game: knock the coolant tanks off his back, then finish him. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox collects the blueprints too, tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10. Separately, Teshin sells a finished Excalibur for 60,000 Conclave standing at Typhoon rank.

What it is built from

The build runs in four passes: three components at twelve hours each, then the frame itself. Components run in the Foundry at the same time, so from the first click to a finished frame it is roughly 36 h: twelve for the parts and 24 for the Warframe itself.

Excalibur has no real resource bottleneck: everything on the list piles up while you play. The only item worth a deliberate trip is Morphics, and you need 2. Mercury and Earth. Apollodorus on Mercury is a short survival that keeps handing them out.

Is Excalibur worth building

Excalibur is the starter that never gets retired: Exalted Blade gives you a weapon that scales with mods you already own.

The numbers look like this: no mastery rank requirement, roughly 36 hours from the first foundry press to a finished frame, and 70 000 credits across all the builds together.

If you picked him first, keep him. Radial Blind alone carries you through the first hundred hours.

Every other frame is broken down the same way, the full list lives in the guide to all Warframes.
