Gara turns glass into a weapon and armour at once. Splinter Storm eats damage, Mass Vitrify puts up a glass wall you can shatter across the room afterwards. One of the most flexible frames on defense.
Can you buy Gara for platinum

Short answer: yes, Gara costs 225 platinum in the Market and arrives fully built with a free slot.
- Price. 225 platinum for a built Gara with a slot for it.
- Mastery. It ticks the same whether the frame was bought or built, so buying saves time, not rank.
There is a second route people forget about. A full Gara Prime set on warframe.market goes for around 65 platinum as of 29 August 2026, which is 3.5 times cheaper than the 225 the shop wants for the regular version. The difference is what you get: 225 buys a finished frame with a slot, while a market set is blueprints that you still have to build and feed with resources. Platinum but no time, use the shop. Time but little platinum, buy the Prime set, which is the stronger frame anyway.
Is there a Gara Prime

Yes, Gara Prime exists, but it is vaulted: its relics left the drop tables on 15.03.2023. That leaves three ways in: trade the parts from other players, catch it in Prime Resurgence when Varzia offers it for Regal Aya, or wait for an unvaulting.
The Prime recipe is its own thing and noticeably heavier: it eats 1 500 Rubedo instead of 800. Components cost 15,000 credits and 12 hours each, the final build costs 25,000 and sits for 72 h. The regular version takes exactly as long for its final build. Do not toss the spare parts, Baro Ki'Teer takes them for ducats, prices are in the table.

Where the blueprints come from

The main blueprint is a reward for Saya's Vigil. Components drop from Plains of Eidolon bounties, so they are farmed at Konzu in Cetus. Repeat main blueprints come from Cephalon Simaris for 50,000 standing. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox fits too: tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10.
What it is built from

The build runs in four passes: three components at twelve hours each, then the frame itself. Components run in the Foundry at the same time, so from the first click to a finished frame it is roughly 84 h: twelve for the parts and 72 for the Warframe itself.
| Blueprint | Credits | Time | Resources per build |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chassis | 15 000 | 12 h | Cetus Wisp x2, Coprite Alloy x120, Iradite x55, Rubedo x800 |
| Neuroptics | 15 000 | 12 h | Neurodes x2, Grokdrul x65, Pyrotic Alloy x90, Circuits x700 |
| Systems | 15 000 | 12 h | Morphics x2, Charc Electroplax x35, Esher Devar x25, Circuits x850 |
| Gara | 25 000 | 72 h | Gara Neuroptics x1, Gara Chassis x1, Gara Systems x1, Orokin Cell x3 |
Where to farm the resources

Look at Grokdrul first. The recipe asks for 65, and you will have to go and get it deliberately. Plains of Eidolon, from Grineer containers and canisters around the camps. Second heaviest is Iradite at 55. Plains of Eidolon, mined from blue ore veins in the cliffs. Everything else accumulates while you play and needs no special trip.
| Resource | Where it drops |
|---|---|
| Orokin Cell | Ceres, Saturn, and Deimos |
| Cetus Wisp | Plains of Eidolon on Earth |
| Coprite Alloy | built from Coprun ore, blueprint from Smokefinger |
| Iradite | Plains of Eidolon on Earth |
| Rubedo | Earth, Lua, Phobos, Europa, Pluto, Sedna, and the Void |
| Neurodes | Earth, Lua, Eris, and Deimos |
| Grokdrul | Plains of Eidolon on Earth |
| Pyrotic Alloy | built from Pyrol ore, blueprint from Smokefinger |
| Circuits | Venus, Ceres, and the Kuva Fortress |
| Morphics | Mercury, Mars, Phobos, Europa, and Pluto |
| Charc Electroplax | Charc Eel, freshwater lakes on the Plains, more common at night |
| Esher Devar | built from the Devar gem, blueprint from Old Man Suumbaat for 2,500 Ostron standing |
Is Gara worth building
Gara builds a glass wall and then shatters it: Spectrorage and Mass Vitrify hold a point better than most abilities in the game.
The numbers look like this: no mastery rank requirement, roughly 84 hours from the first foundry press to a finished frame, and 70 000 credits across all the builds together. A finished Prime set on the market runs about 65 platinum.
Excellent on defence and interception. She needs a bit of setup before each wave, which not everyone likes.
Every other frame is broken down the same way, the full list lives in the guide to all Warframes.
