Official GeForce RTX 5090 render with a panel: RTX 50 prices go up again, up to $494 for the RTX 5090 DV2, $30 for the RTX 5060, memory crunch until 2028

GeForce RTX 50 cards are getting more expensive again, and this time it starts this week. China's ChannelGate, citing NVIDIA's board partners, reports that Colorful, Galax and others have already sent retailers new prices. The RTX 5090 DV2 takes the biggest hit, up to 3,300 yuan, close to $500. Even the cheapest RTX 5060 goes up by about $30. Shelf prices should follow within a week or two. NVIDIA itself hasn't announced anything.

How much each RTX 50 card goes up

FramesGames chart: RTX 50 price hikes in China by model, from $15-22 for the RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB to $329-494 for the RTX 5090 DV2

According to ChannelGate's table, as quoted by TechPowerUp, the RTX 5090 DV2 goes up by 2,200-3,300 yuan, the RTX 5080 by 2,500-2,800, the RTX 5070 Ti by 1,000 and the RTX 5070 by 600-900. Lower down the range it's milder: 250-400 yuan for the 16 GB RTX 5060 Ti, 100-150 for the 8 GB one and 150-200 for the RTX 5060. ChannelGate itself calls one of its reports rumors from sources at a Galax factory, so treat these numbers as a guide, not a price list.

Two reasons are given: memory is scarce, and copper and other raw materials have become much pricier. Older NVIDIA series and AMD and Intel cards aren't part of this round. The same report does expect a separate Radeon price increase later in November, though.

Memory: the worst may still be ahead

FramesGames chart: business share of Team Group revenue rose from 24.6 to 64.6 percent, consumers fell from 75.4 to 35.4

On the same day, at its November 2 earnings call, Team Group said the hardest stretch for memory hasn't started yet. It expects the peak between Q4 2026 and Q2 2027. SK hynix, Samsung and Micron have already sold their 2027 output under long-term contracts, and the company warned that soon you may not be able to buy memory at all, even with the money in hand. Team Group doesn't expect supply and demand to balance before the second half of 2028.

Where the memory is going is easy to see. A year ago consumers made up 75.4% of Team Group's revenue. Now it's 35.4%, while businesses, AI servers first among them, went from 24.6% to 64.6%. If you were eyeing a graphics card or new RAM, I wouldn't wait for holiday discounts. If anything, whatever is still on the shelf at the old price today will cost more in two weeks.
