Limbo lives in two dimensions at once and drags enemies into the other one. Cataclysm puts up a bubble where time stands still. Powerful and thoroughly disliked in public squads, because it is easy to ruin an ally's day with it.
Can you buy Limbo for platinum

Buying is simple here, yes, Limbo costs 200 platinum in the Market and arrives fully built with a free slot.
- Price. 200 platinum for a built Limbo with a slot for it.
- Mastery. It ticks the same whether the frame was bought or built, so buying saves time, not rank.
There is a second route people forget about. A full Limbo Prime set on warframe.market goes for around 93 platinum as of 29 August 2026, which is 2.2 times cheaper than the 200 the shop wants for the regular version. The difference is what you get: 200 buys a finished frame with a slot, while a market set is blueprints that you still have to build and feed with resources. Platinum but no time, use the shop. Time but little platinum, buy the Prime set, which is the stronger frame anyway.
Is there a Limbo Prime

Yes, Limbo Prime exists, but it is vaulted: its relics left the drop tables on 18.03.2020. That leaves three ways in: trade the parts from other players, catch it in Prime Resurgence when Varzia offers it for Regal Aya, or wait for an unvaulting.
The Prime recipe is its own thing and noticeably heavier: it eats 3 000 Salvage instead of 500. Components cost 15,000 credits and 12 hours each, the final build costs 25,000 and sits for 72 h. The regular version, meanwhile, builds instantly, its build time is zero. Do not toss the spare parts, Baro Ki'Teer takes them for ducats, prices are in the table.
| Blueprint | Relics it drops from | Ducats | Resources per build |

Where the blueprints come from

The main blueprint is in the Market. Components come from The Limbo Theorem, a quest that unlocks after clearing the Europa Junction on Jupiter. Repeat components cost 25,000 standing at Cephalon Simaris. The Circuit after The Duviri Paradox closes the set at tiers 2, 5, 8 and 10.
What it is built from

It builds like every other frame: three parts, then the main blueprint over them. Components run in the Foundry at the same time, so the whole thing takes about twelve hours: the Warframe itself builds instantly after them.
| Blueprint | Credits | Time | Resources per build |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chassis | 15 000 | 0 h | Neural Sensors x1, Ferrite x1 000, Rubedo x300, Argon Crystal x1 |
| Neuroptics | 15 000 | 0 h | Alloy Plate x150, Neurodes x2, Polymer Bundle x150, Rubedo x500 |
| Systems | 15 000 | 0 h | Control Module x1, Morphics x3, Salvage x500, Plastids x220 |
| Limbo | 25 000 | 0 h | Limbo Chassis x1, Limbo Neuroptics x1, Limbo Systems x1, Orokin Cell x3 |
Where to farm the resources

Limbo has no real resource bottleneck: everything on the list piles up while you play. The only item worth a deliberate trip is Argon Crystal, and you need 1. Void only, and it decays 24 hours after you pick it up. Farm it last, right before you press build.
| Resource | Where it drops |
|---|---|
| Orokin Cell | Ceres, Saturn, and Deimos |
| Neural Sensors | Jupiter |
| Ferrite | Mercury, Earth, Lua, Neptune, and the Void |
| Rubedo | Earth, Lua, Phobos, Europa, Pluto, Sedna, and the Void |
| Argon Crystal | Missions in the Void |
| Alloy Plate | Venus, Phobos, Ceres, Jupiter, Pluto, and Sedna |
| Neurodes | Earth, Lua, Eris, and Deimos |
| Polymer Bundle | Mercury, Venus, and Uranus |
| Control Module | Europa, Neptune, and the Void |
| Morphics | Mercury, Mars, Phobos, Europa, and Pluto |
| Salvage | Mars, Jupiter, and Sedna |
| Plastids | Phobos, Saturn, Uranus, Pluto, and Eris |
Is Limbo worth building
Limbo moves between two planes: what he banishes into the Rift cannot touch you, and Stasis freezes bullets in the air.
The numbers look like this: no mastery rank requirement, roughly 0.0 hours from the first foundry press to a finished frame, and 70 000 credits across all the builds together. A finished Prime set on the market runs about 93 platinum.
Unmatched for defence and mobile defence, and the fastest way to annoy a squad that does not expect him.
Every other frame is broken down the same way, the full list lives in the guide to all Warframes.
