Banshee makes things loud and painful. Sonar lights up weak spots and multiplies damage several times over, Silence deafens, Sound Quake flattens the room. Fragile, but Sonar still makes her one of the meanest damage amplifiers in the game.
Can you buy Banshee for platinum

Straight to it: yes, Banshee costs 225 platinum in the Market and arrives fully built with a free slot.
- Price. 225 platinum for a built Banshee with a slot for it.
- Mastery. It ticks the same whether the frame was bought or built, so buying saves time, not rank.
There is a second route people forget about. A full Banshee Prime set on warframe.market goes for around 73 platinum as of 29 August 2026, which is 3.1 times cheaper than the 225 the shop wants for the regular version. The difference is what you get: 225 buys a finished frame with a slot, while a market set is blueprints that you still have to build and feed with resources. Platinum but no time, use the shop. Time but little platinum, buy the Prime set, which is the stronger frame anyway.
Is there a Banshee Prime

Yes, Banshee Prime exists, but it is vaulted: its relics left the drop tables on 18.12.2018. That leaves three ways in: trade the parts from other players, catch it in Prime Resurgence when Varzia offers it for Regal Aya, or wait for an unvaulting.
The Prime recipe is its own thing and noticeably heavier: it eats 7 000 Salvage instead of 1 000. Components cost 15,000 credits and 12 hours each, the final build costs 25,000 and sits for 72 h. The regular version takes exactly as long for its final build. Do not toss the spare parts, Baro Ki'Teer takes them for ducats, prices are in the table.

Where the blueprints come from

All of Banshee's blueprints are researched in the Tenno Lab in a clan dojo. There is no other source: no boss, no quest, no bounty. With no clan of your own, the easy move is joining a settled one where the Tenno Lab has been finished for years.
This is where most people get stuck: the blueprints sit in a clan dojo, and a new player has no clan. It takes one evening to get past.
- Find a clan. Open the Recruiting chat in game and say you are looking for a clan with the Tenno Lab researched. There are almost always open spots and joining takes a minute.
- If the research is not done, any member with research rights can start it. Pick the frame in the Tenno Lab, the clan chips in resources, then a timer runs.
- You cannot buy the blueprints from another player. Clan lab blueprints are not tradeable. Only Prime parts are.
- If you would rather not hunt for a clan, two routes remain: 275 platinum for the finished frame in the shop, or a Prime set from the market.
What it is built from

The usual order: three components in parallel, then the Warframe on top of them. Components run in the Foundry at the same time, so from the first click to a finished frame it is roughly 84 h: twelve for the parts and 72 for the Warframe itself.
| Blueprint | Credits | Time | Resources per build |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chassis | 15 000 | 12 h | Morphics x1, Ferrite x900, Rubedo x50 |
| Neuroptics | 15 000 | 12 h | Circuits x150, Neural Sensors x1, Polymer Bundle x200, Salvage x500 |
| Systems | 15 000 | 12 h | Control Module x1, Morphics x1, Salvage x500, Plastids x400 |
| Banshee | 25 000 | 72 h | Banshee Neuroptics x1, Banshee Chassis x1, Banshee Systems x1, Orokin Cell x1 |
Where to farm the resources

Banshee has no real resource bottleneck: everything on the list piles up while you play. The only item worth a deliberate trip is Morphics, and you need 2. Mercury and Earth. Apollodorus on Mercury is a short survival that keeps handing them out.
| Resource | Where it drops |
|---|---|
| Orokin Cell | Ceres, Saturn, and Deimos |
| Morphics | Mercury, Mars, Phobos, Europa, and Pluto |
| Ferrite | Mercury, Earth, Lua, Neptune, and the Void |
| Rubedo | Earth, Lua, Phobos, Europa, Pluto, Sedna, and the Void |
| Circuits | Venus, Ceres, and the Kuva Fortress |
| Neural Sensors | Jupiter |
| Polymer Bundle | Mercury, Venus, and Uranus |
| Salvage | Mars, Jupiter, and Sedna |
| Control Module | Europa, Neptune, and the Void |
| Plastids | Phobos, Saturn, Uranus, Pluto, and Eris |
Is Banshee worth building
Banshee is a damage amplifier: Sonar paints weak spots for the whole squad and Resonance keeps them spreading.
The numbers look like this: no mastery rank requirement, roughly 84 hours from the first foundry press to a finished frame, and 70 000 credits across all the builds together. A finished Prime set on the market runs about 73 platinum.
Build her if you play with friends and enjoy sniping. On her own she is made of paper.
Every other frame is broken down the same way, the full list lives in the guide to all Warframes.
