Equinox in Warframe: how to get it, blueprints and resources

Equinox is two frames in one: the day form hits and enrages, the night form sleeps and heals. Mend and Maim stores damage and dumps it in a circle. The most involved build in the game, and the mechanics are not simple either.

Can you buy Equinox for platinum

Buying is simple here, yes, with a caveat: a finished Equinox is on sale in the Market, but building him by hand takes longer than anyone else because he has eight blueprints.

  • Buying. A finished Equinox is sold in the Market, check the price in game, our export does not carry it.
  • Mastery. It ticks the same whether the frame was bought or built, so buying saves time, not rank.

Is there a Equinox Prime

Yes, Equinox Prime exists, but it is vaulted: its relics left the drop tables on 23.02.2021. That leaves three ways in: trade the parts from other players, catch it in Prime Resurgence when Varzia offers it for Regal Aya, or wait for an unvaulting.

The Prime recipe is its own thing and noticeably heavier: the regular version needs no Salvage at all, the Prime wants 5 400. Components cost 15,000 credits and 12 hours each, the final build costs 25,000 and sits for 72 h. The regular version takes exactly as long for its final build. Do not toss the spare parts, Baro Ki'Teer takes them for ducats, prices are in the table.

Where the blueprints come from

Nothing here works the normal way. First you build two aspects, Equinox Day Aspect and Equinox Night Aspect, each with its own Neuroptics, Chassis and Systems, and only then the Warframe itself. Eight blueprints instead of four. All the components and both aspects drop from Tyl Regor on Titania, Uranus: one run hands over one day aspect and one night aspect. The main blueprint is a Market purchase.

What it is built from

What Equinox is built from

It builds like every other frame: three parts, then the main blueprint over them. Components run in the Foundry at the same time, so from the first click to a finished frame it is roughly 72 h: twelve for the parts and 72 for the Warframe itself.

Where to farm the resources

Equinox has no real resource bottleneck: everything on the list piles up while you play. The only item worth a deliberate trip is Orokin Cell, and you need 2. Gabii on Ceres is still the fastest place to farm them, with Deimos as the alternative.

Is Equinox worth building

Equinox is two frames in one: night form heals and puts enemies to sleep, day form stores damage and detonates it.

The numbers look like this: no mastery rank requirement, roughly 144 hours from the first foundry press to a finished frame, and 75 000 credits across all the builds together. A finished Prime set on the market runs about 60 platinum.

Maim is still one of the biggest room clears in the game. The build is also the longest of any frame.

Every other frame is broken down the same way, the full list lives in the guide to all Warframes.
