Lavos spends no energy at all, everything runs on cooldowns, and his abilities mix elements through vials. An unusual setup that leaves him unbothered by Nullifiers and energy drain alike.

Can you buy Lavos for platinum

Official render of Lavos from Warframe

Straight to it: yes, Lavos costs 325 platinum in the Market and arrives fully built with a free slot.

  • Price. 325 platinum for a built Lavos with a slot for it.
  • Mastery. It ticks the same whether the frame was bought or built, so buying saves time, not rank.

There is a second route people forget about. A full Lavos Prime set on warframe.market goes for around 18 platinum as of 29 August 2026, which is 18.1 times cheaper than the 325 the shop wants for the regular version. The difference is what you get: 325 buys a finished frame with a slot, while a market set is blueprints that you still have to build and feed with resources. Platinum but no time, use the shop. Time but little platinum, buy the Prime set, which is the stronger frame anyway.

Is there a Lavos Prime

Yes, Lavos Prime exists and is available right now. Parts drop from Void relics the usual way: farm relics, crack them in a fissure, collect four blueprints. Trading works too, built parts sell for platinum.

The Prime recipe is its own thing and noticeably heavier: it eats 5 Orokin Cell instead of 3. Components cost 15,000 credits and 12 hours each, the final build costs 25,000 and sits for 72 h. The regular version takes exactly as long for its final build. Do not toss the spare parts, Baro Ki'Teer takes them for ducats, prices are in the table.

Where the blueprints come from

Lavos blueprints come from Father in the Necralisk for Entrati standing. The main one needs Rank 2 Acquaintance, the components Rank 3 Associate, each costs 5,000 standing, 20,000 for the set. Entrati standing comes from Cambion Drift bounties and from handing in resources.

What it is built from

The usual order: three components in parallel, then the Warframe on top of them. Components run in the Foundry at the same time, so from the first click to a finished frame it is roughly 84 h: twelve for the parts and 72 for the Warframe itself.

Where to farm the resources

Look at Hexenon first. The recipe asks for 550, and you will have to go and get it deliberately. Jupiter, Gas City tileset. Io again, which makes it easy to farm alongside Oxium. Second heaviest is Nitain Extract at 5. Nightwave Cred Offerings, 15 creds a piece. It does not drop from enemies any more, so this one is bought weekly and cannot be rushed. Everything else accumulates while you play and needs no special trip.

Is Lavos worth building

Lavos has no energy bar at all: every ability runs on cooldowns, and he paints his weapons with elements as he goes.

The numbers look like this: no mastery rank requirement, roughly 84 hours from the first foundry press to a finished frame, and 70 000 credits across all the builds together. A finished Prime set on the market runs about 18 platinum.

The answer for anyone tired of energy management. Cooldowns mean you cannot spam, and that takes adjusting.

Every other frame is broken down the same way, the full list lives in the guide to all Warframes.
