Playground Games has published the PC requirements table for the new Fable, and it is pleasantly modest. The entry tier rests on an RTX 2060 and a Radeon RX 6600, cards that are six years old. Intel Arc turns up in the minimum column again, too, and that is no longer a one-off.
The official table

| Preset | Low, 1080p30 | Medium, recommended | High, 1440p60 | Ultra, 4K60 |

What follows from it
- The entry bar is low. The RTX 2060 came out in 2019, the RX 6600 in 2021. Both clear the minimum comfortably, for a game shipping a year and a half from now.
- Intel Arc is on the official list. The A580 sits in the minimum column alongside NVIDIA and AMD. That is the second time in a week, after Arc appeared in the Witcher remaster requirements.
- Twelve gigabytes of system memory at minimum. An unusual number, the usual choices are eight or sixteen. It reads like eight is no longer enough and the studio did not want to demand sixteen.
- SSD only. A hard drive is not mentioned anywhere in the requirements, and that is becoming the norm.
Worth noting separately: 4K at sixty frames asks for an RTX 4080 or RTX 5080. No footnotes about frame generation, just a card and a resolution. For an Unreal Engine 5 open world that is restrained, and I would like to believe the numbers are honest rather than written with an upscaler quietly switched on.
One mismatch
The card lists a Core i5-10600KF in the medium preset, while the Steam page lists a Core i5-11600KF as recommended, one generation newer. The gap is small, but if you are building a machine for this game, aim at the newer part. Storage is missing from the card entirely, it just says SSD, and the 135 GB figure only shows up in Steam.
How long it runs
According to people who saw the game at gamescom, the main story takes fifteen to twenty hours, and a full run with side activities lands around forty. The studio has made no official statement, so treat these as attendee reports rather than a press release.
Release is 23 February 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Published by Xbox Game Studios, developed by Playground Games, the same studio behind Forza Horizon.
