GTA 6 is 46 days away, and the 19 November date is holding. In the past two weeks Rockstar has published exactly one post, about a collector's box, but plenty has happened around the game: Game Informer detailed the weather and wildlife, a "Welcome to Vice City" sign went up on an arena roof in Miami, and an alleged leader of the hackers who breached Rockstar was arrested in Amsterdam. Here is everything we know as of 4 October 2026.
Date, prices and pre-orders

| Release | 19 November 2026, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S |
| Pre-load | digital version from 12 November |

| Pre-order bonus | Vintage Vice City Pack if bought before 20 November, a month of GTA+ with digital pre-orders |

This is the third date. Rockstar first promised fall 2025, moved the game to 26 May 2026 on 2 May 2025, and then to 19 November on 6 November 2025. It has not moved since. Pre-orders have been open since 25 June. In New Zealand, according to the PlayStation Store, the game unlocks at midnight on 19 November local time, and it carries an R18 rating there.
What about PC?

Nothing official. Rockstar describes GTA 6 as a PS5 and Xbox Series game. On 17 September Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick repeated the company line: games launch on platforms with a meaningful audience, and PC, he said, is becoming more and more important to the company, as GamesRadar reports. That is not an announcement, but it is not a no either. Rockstar's previous games reached PC after consoles: GTA 5 a year and a half later, Red Dead Redemption 2 a year later.
What happened in the past two weeks

- Collector's box, 24 September. Rockstar opened pre-orders for The Goodtime State, Vice City Collection: an alligator figure, Oakley sunglasses, a New Era cap, a bag, a shot glass, pins, a Leonida poster and more. The game is not included and is sold separately. Rockstar did not give a price in the post; PlayStation Universe reports $399.99. It ships on 19 November.
- A sign in Miami, 22 September. Giant pink "Welcome to Vice City" letters were lifted onto the roof of the Kaseya Center by helicopter. According to the Miami Herald, as reported by Notebookcheck, the deal was worth $975,000 and the county mayor's office approved it without a commission vote, just $25,000 under the threshold that would have required one.
- Game Informer issue, 29 September. 14 pages and 12 new screenshots. The game has local rain showers, puddles that linger, tropical storms and hurricanes, and more than 170 animal species. We covered it in a separate story.
- An arrest, 28 September. Dutch police detained a 24-year-old man in Amsterdam in their investigation into the ShinyHunters hacking group. The FBI says he is one of its leaders, and that the group was behind the April breach of Rockstar that exposed GTA Online revenue figures. The group denies any link to him.
- Take-Two's new Microsoft deal, 28 September. A long-term licence to publish games for "all Xbox devices". The SEC filing does not mention GTA 6, but TechPowerUp notes that it will be the first major game released under the new deal.
There was no third trailer, no new date and no PC announcement in that time. The 192 GB leak that surfaced on 18 September has little to do with GTA 6: it is mostly cut GTA 5 content, as we explained here.
