GTA 6 will take up about 210 GB on PS5. The figure was posted by PlayStation Game Size, an X account that tracks PlayStation Store data, and Insider Gaming says it confirmed the number through its own channels. It isn't official yet: the game's PlayStation Store page doesn't list a size, and neither Rockstar nor Sony has given one. The store does confirm the rest, though: launch on November 19, 2026, and pre-load seven days before release, so from November 12.
How much space is left on your console

On a launch PS5 that's a big chunk: of its 825 GB drive about 667 GB is usable, so GTA 6 alone takes almost a third of the free space. The PS5 Slim has about 848 GB usable, where the game eats roughly a quarter, and the PS5 Pro has a 2 TB drive. One important caveat: 210 GB is the download size, and the installed size isn't known yet, which is often larger. The Xbox Series X|S size hasn't been given either.
- Short on space? Clear it before November 12: pre-load runs for a week, and pulling 210 GB on launch day along with everyone else will take a while.
- External drives. PS5 games can be stored on a USB drive but only played from the internal SSD or an M.2 drive in the expansion slot, so GTA 6 needs space on an SSD inside the console.
- Pre-load isn't early access. The files download in advance, but you can only play from November 19.
Prices and what each edition includes

On the US PlayStation Store the Standard Edition costs $79.99. A digital pre-order adds the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+, which can be claimed until March 31. The Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 and adds a set of exclusive vehicles, weapons and apparel for Jason and Lucia that unlock across the story's chapters. There's no PC version among those announced: at launch the game is PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Everything known about the game so far is in our big GTA 6 roundup.
