Driveclub, the Evolution Studios racer Sony pulled from sale in 2019, now runs on Windows without an emulator, and through two independent ports at once. DriveClub Recomp by the OverkillLabs3 team came out on October 17 and reached version 0.2.3 by the morning of the 18th. DCport by developer qnfn went through several versions on October 18, the latest being 0.4.0 (update on October 19: the DCport repository has since gone offline and returns 404; Recomp is still available, now at 0.2.4). Both need a decrypted dump of version 1.28 from your own PS4, and both get the game through races, photo mode and saving.
DriveClub Recomp: DLAA and 4K

The OverkillLabs3 port replaces the game's own anti-aliasing with NVIDIA DLAA on RTX cards or AMD FSR 3.1 on any card, both running at native resolution with the game's own motion vectors. By the authors' test on an RTX 5070 Ti and Ryzen 7 5800X3D, the game holds about 60 fps at 4K in the heaviest scenes and more in lighter ones, and the launcher has an unlocked frame rate option that keeps the game running at normal speed. Add-on cars, bikes and tours from the DLC can be unlocked in the launcher from your own game files.
DCport: FSR 4 and up to 120 fps

DCport is built on the same base as most PS4 ports of the past two weeks: deadinside28's native Bloodborne port, Supermedo's Windows version and the shadPS4 renderer. The frame rate can be set from 30 to 240, the author has tested up to 120, and a community patch keeps the game running at the right speed. There's FSR 4 and FSR 3.1 as anti-aliasing, save profiles with backups, all DLC including Driveclub Bikes from your own dumps, and an Add to Steam button. You need a CPU with AVX and a GPU with Vulkan 1.3. The port comes in two builds, with FSR and without an upscaler.
- Neither port has online. Sony shut down the Driveclub servers on March 31, 2020, and since then only single-player has worked on PS4.
- Which to pick. On an RTX card DriveClub Recomp with DLAA makes more sense, on a Radeon RX 9000 DCport with FSR 4. Both are free, and the DCport author warns that nobody should be charging for it.
- Where to download. Only from the OverkillLabs3/driveclub-recomp repository on GitHub. The qnfn/Driveclub-Port repository (DCport) has returned 404 since October 19, so skip copies and "mirrors" of it under other names.
Driveclub was one of the most wanted games in this wave: it never officially came to PC, and it hasn't been possible to buy for seven years. The other PS4 fan ports, from Gran Turismo Sport to The Order: 1886, are in our list of PS4 games running without an emulator.
